OTHER WAYS TO DONATE

There are different ways you can help support asylum seekers and refugees through WERS…

By donating to our main fund you can directly support our projects that provide advice, advocacy, volunteering and opportunities for asylum seekers and refugees on Tyneside. All our projects aim to support and empower individuals to settle, build confidence, apply skills, make connections in local communities and rebuild lives.

Donate to our hardship fund to provide regular financial support to asylum seekers who have received a negative decision on their asylum claim.  Current government policy cuts off financial support and access to accommodation when a negative decision is issued and leaves people destitute.

“WERS has made a big change in my life. I feel more confident about making new friends… I feel useful and appreciated”
