A night of music, community and support
Last Friday we brought people together at Gosforth Civic Theatre for a fundraising event in support of West End Refugee Service — and it turned into a fantastic night.
More than 250 people came along to enjoy live music, take part in the raffle, and spend time together in a relaxed and welcoming space. There was a real sense of energy in the room from the start, and it carried through the evening.
We’re really pleased to share that the event raised £4,823, which will go directly towards supporting refugees and people seeking asylum across the North East.
A huge thank you to Clive for organising the event, and to Archie Brown and the Young Bucks and Jam Jah for bringing the music. Thanks as well to the team at Gosforth Civic Theatre, and to everyone who donated prizes and supported the raffle — it all helped make the night what it was.
Events like this are important for us. They bring people together, create space for conversation, and remind us of the support that exists in the community for the work we do.
