Student Dentists Visit

Student dentists from Newcastle University School of Dental Sciences came to visit WERS earlier this month. They offered a “look in the mouth” to clients to illustrate what a dental check-up might be like and to help reduce any fears or concerns clients might have about visiting the dentist. They offered advice about daily mouth care, the benefits of dental treatment and advice on how to access local dental services. They also offered toothbrush and toothpaste samples, which were gratefully received. A big thank you to the students for their visit, it was very informative!

Visit from Moorside Community School

Students from Moorside Community School recently held a doughnut day at the school to raise money to purchase toiletries for WERS clients. They visited us today to deliver the toiletries and to learn more about our services here. It was lovely to see the students and to answer their questions about many of the issues that asylum seekers and refugees face. A big thank you to the school and the students for their efforts!
